Free Bed Removal Policy
When we deliver your new bed, our team will remove your old one on the same trip — at no extra cost, provided it's ready for collection. Here's everything you need to know.
When we deliver your new bed purchased from Mattress Outlet, our delivery team will remove your existing bed at no additional charge — on the same day and in the same trip as your delivery. The service covers all bed sizes and all bed types, subject to the conditions below.
- Purchased from Mattress Outlet. The Free Bed Removal service is exclusively available when you have made a qualifying purchase from The Mattress Outlet. It is not available as a standalone service.
- Available on delivery day only. The removal of your old bed will take place on the same day and at the same time as the delivery of your new bed. We are unable to schedule a separate removal outside of your delivery slot.
- All sizes and types accepted. We will remove any bed size — from Single to King — and any bed type, including mattress only, base only, or a full bed set.
- One bed removed per delivery item. Our team will remove one (1) old bed for every new bed delivered. If you have purchased multiple beds in a single order, we will remove the equivalent number of old beds — one for each new bed delivered on that day.
- Bed must be ready for removal. Your old bed must be dismantled, stripped of all bedding, and ready for collection before our delivery team arrives. Our team is not responsible for dismantling, stripping, or preparing the old bed. If the bed is not ready, we may be unable to remove it on the day.
- Accessible location required. Your old bed must be easily accessible for our delivery team. We reserve the right to decline removal if access is deemed unsafe or impractical.
- Service area. The Free Bed Removal service is available for deliveries within Gauteng and within a 50km radius of any Mattress Outlet store. Customers outside this area are welcome to contact us to discuss available options.
- Mattress Outlet is not liable for property damage. While our team takes every precaution, Mattress Outlet cannot be held liable for any incidental damage to walls, floors, door frames, or any other property that may occur in the process of removing your old bed.
If any of the above conditions are not met at the time of delivery, Mattress Outlet reserves the right to waive the Free Bed Removal service for that delivery.
